This tool is about the size of a large pen. There is a small optical camera on one end and is attached to a computer on the other. With this camera, we can see the more difficult areas of your mouth, allowing for a more accurate and complete examination. How Does an Intraoral Camera Work?The intraoral camera is a handheld device. We place the camera end into your mouth and move it around. The camera captures real-time images, which we can see on a computer monitor. The camera also allows us to take stills of the inside of your mouth so that we can focus on a specific region of your mouth more closely. Taking a Closer LookWith the intraoral camera, we can use specialized computer software to take a closer look at the visible structures in your mouth. We can zoom in on target areas and enhance images for greater clarity. We can notice the small details in your mouth, allowing us to provide you with incredibly accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans, helping you to maintain optimal oral health. More Comfortable ExaminationsTraditionally, examining your mouth could require that you keep your mouth open for extended periods of time.
